Tredegar House Literary Walk

Saturday 19 May saw Catherine Fisher, Wales’ Young People’s Laureate leading a walk around the beautiful and imposing 17th Century Tredegar House and 90 acre parklands.

The house was in private hands until the 1950’s when it became a convent school. Catherine is a former pupil of the school, an experience which inspired scenes and themes in several of her popular teenage novels – the house is the setting of the plot in The Lammas Field (Hodder Children’s Books, 1999).

The event was arranged in partnership with the National Trust..
